Today's Horse Racing Odds: Wednesday 20th April

There are six midweek meetings to take in across the UK and Ireland on Wednesday, with a mixture of jumps fare and Flat racing to enjoy.

Ludlow’s seven-race jumps card will get the day up and running, with the action in Shropshire due to take place from 13:00-16:20, with the Handicap Hurdle at 14:05 benefiting from Betfred’s ‘Super Extra Place’ promotion.

It is a similar story for Catterick’s seven-race offering on the Flat from 13:40-17:05, as the ‘Super Extra Place’ offer will come into play for the 16:00 Handicap in North Yorkshire, while the ‘Extra Place’ promotion will be available for the races at 14:15 and 14:50.

The second jumps fare of the day will come from Scotland, with Perth’s seven-race offering scheduled to get underway at 13:50 and reach a conclusion at 17:16.

There are two Listed races taking place at Perth, with a Mares’ Chase at 16:10 following on from the Gold Castle ‘National Hunt’ Novices’ Hurdle at 15:35, which will be another to benefit from Betfred’s ‘Extra Place’ promotion.

Famous Bridge (15/8) could be one of the leading protagonists in that Listed offering at 15:35, as Nicky Richards’ charge has been in consistent form this season, highlighted by his victory at Kelso last month.

The sole offering of the day from Ireland will be Bellewstown’s eight-race card on the Flat that goes from 15:30-19:20.

Again Betfred will have offers aplenty available, with the 16:35, 17:45, 18:20 and 18:50 races from Bellewstown all seeing the ‘Extra Place’ promotion from Betfred come into play.

Back on British soil, and Lingfield will take centre stage for a seven-race card on the all-weather from 16:15-19:30, with the opener and final race from the Surrey track benefiting from Betfred’s ‘Extra Place’ promotion.

Salisbury will be the final meeting of the day to get underway, with a seven-race card due to take place there between 16:25-19:40, with the races at 18:40 and 19:10 seeing the ‘Extra Place’ promotion from Betfred come into play.

The 17:00 Handicap is also worth looking out for from Salisbury, as Betfred’s ‘Free Bet if 2nd’ offer will be available for that one, with Nikki’s Girl (4/1) looking a strong contender for trainer Ed Dunlop after some fine recent form.
