Cooper expects Forest to bounce back

Steve Cooper

Nottingham Forest manager Steve Cooper says his must bounce back against West Brom (Match betting – Forest 11/10, Draw 5/2, West Brom 13/5) on Easter Monday, following their defeat at Luton Town on Friday.

Forest went into the game with the Hatters on the back of a five-match winning run and were still harbouring hopes of an automatic promotion tilt.

However, they took a big blow at Kenilworth Road, as Kal Naismith’s penalty proved enough to stop Forest’s excellent run, leaving them seven points behind Bournemouth in second, with both sides having six games left to play this season.

Monday’s task is a home game against Steve Bruce’s West Brom, with the Baggies still having an outside chance of making the top six and Cooper has urged Forest to use the Baggies game to get rid of any “frustration” that may have built up.

“Whatever happened in this game, we were still going to play West Brom on Monday,” he said.

“So stick to the plan and the approach, get the frustration out of us. We love working for and playing for this huge football club, so let’s go represent it as best we can in the next game.”
