Head coach Mikel Arteta has called on Arsenal “to go for it” when they attempt to further boost their top-four hopes at Newcastle United on Monday (Match betting – Newcastle 18/5, Draw 3/1, Arsenal 4/5).
The Gunners (Evens – Top-four finish) head to St James’ Park for their penultimate game of the Premier League campaign knowing a victory will put them in a driving seat for a top-four finish.
Tottenham’s 1-0 victory over Burnley on Sunday saw Arsenal slip to fifth, but they are just two points adrift of Spurs with a game in hand.
Few would have predicted that Arsenal would be challenging for a return to the Champions League after losing their opening three games, however, Arteta has worked his magic on the Gunners’ squad.

The Spaniard admits falling short of the top-four would be a big blow and has demanded a performance as they look to respond to last week’s 3-0 loss at Tottenham.
Arteta said: “We want to be playing in the Champions League and that’s the end. We’ve come so far.
“It’s in our hands and we want to now capitalise on that and the excitement and the opportunity’s there, and we will really want to go for it.”
Centre-back Gabriel Magalhaes is a doubt for the clash after limping off against Spurs, while Rob Holding is suspended and Kieran Tierney and Thomas Partey are certain to miss out due to injury.
The Magpies could have Callum Wilson and Kieran Trippier back in the starting XI, but Jonjo Shelvey, Federico Fernandez, Jamal Lewis, Isaac Hayden and Joe Willock are all unavailable.
