Today's Horse Racing Odds: Monday 25th April

There is a bumper Saturday of racing action to enjoy across the UK and Ireland with nine meetings taking place, including high-profile cards from Haydock, Lingfield and Ascot.

Nottingham will be our first port of call for a seven-race card that goes from 13:00-16:30, with the finale at that track benefiting from Betfred’s ‘Extra Place’ promotion.

The first of the day’s standout cards will get underway hot on the heels of the action at Nottingham, as it is Swinton Hurdle Day at Haydock, with a total of eight races scheduled from 13:20-17:18, including the Grade 3 Swinton Handicap Hurdle (15:00) and the Listed Spring Trophy Stakes (15:35).

The Swinton Handicap Hurdle is also one of five races from Haydock that will see Betfred’s ‘Extra Place’ offer come into play, with Dan Skelton’s West Cork (5/1) and Anna Bunina (11/2) from John C McConnell’s yard expected to be among the main protagonists.

It is Classic Trials day at Lingfield where a seven-race card will go to post between 13:30-17:00, with the 14:05 proving another race where punters can take advantage of Betfred’s ‘Extra Place’ offer.

The first of Saturday’s two Irish meetings will come from Naas where eight races are scheduled from 13:40-17:35, including the Group 3 Blue Wind Stakes at 15:25.

Four of the races from Naas, the 14:15, 16:00, 17:05 and 17:35, will also benefit from Betfred’s ‘Extra Place’ offer.

The big meetings keep on coming as Ascot will host seven races from 13:45-17:15.

The 16:05 Victoria Cup will be the feature race from Ascot and will benefit from Betfred’s ‘Super Extra Place’ promotion. James Fanshawe’s Fresh (15/2) could well be the one to beat in that one.

The afternoon action will then be rounded off by a seven-race offering from Hexham between 13:55-17:20 and the second Irish meeting at Cork where seven races are scheduled from 14:00-17:25, with the 15:45 and 16:55 benefiting from the ‘Extra Place’ offer by Betfred.

Warwick will kick off the evening action with a seven-race card from 17:10-20:20, while seven races will also go to post at Thirsk from 17:30-20:35.

The opener from Thirsk, a five-furlong Fillies’ Handicap, will benefit from Betfred’s ‘Free Bet if 2nd’ offer, while the races at 19:05, 19:35 and 20:35 will see the ‘Extra Place’ promotion come into play.
