Today’s Horse Racing Odds: Friday 13th May

Today's Horse Racing Odds: Monday 25th April

The final day of the Dante Festival is the headline act, with UK and Irish horse racing fans having seven cards to look forward to on Friday 13th May.

There are seven more races on the Knavesmire between 13:50 and 17:20, with the feature the Yorkshire Cup at 15:35.

A cool five of York’s card carry the Extra Place Race bet, with the opener, the 14:25, the 15:00 and the 16:45 all involved.

As is the final race, where Meredif is 7/2 after winning at Nottingham in her last outing in September, while there could also be value in following 12/1 Hellomydarlin, who was beaten by three-quarters of a length in her previous outing here.

Newbury is the first port of call between 13:00 and 16:20 for another seven races and the opener, 14:05 and 15:50 all carry the Extra Place Race promotion.

In the latter, having won on his last four starts, Way Of Life is sure to interest punters at 5/2. However, the question is, can he transfer his all-weather form onto the turf?

It’s another septet of contests at Newmarket from 13:10 to 16:35 and the 14:50 is the target for the Extra Place Race.

Summer’s Knight is 5/2 to make a winning return for the season, with Sir Mark Prescott’s gelding having triumphed five times in an impressive campaign last year.

Into the evening and there are two Irish cards, both hosting seven races, with Kilbeggan getting underway at 16:55 and concluding at 20:17. The Extra Place is available on the 19:45 where Quantum Realm is 5/1 to go one better after running second here on Handicap bow.

Meanwhile, Leopardstown’s card goes from 17:10 to 20:30 and that same promotion is available on the 18:20, 18:55 and 20:00.

Of those, the 18:55 could be the most entertaining as Joseph O’Brien’s 9/2 Buenaventura looks to kick on from form figures of 12. Gavin Cromwell’s last-time-out winner Dha Leath is 11/2 and should also be a contender.

Back to this side of the Irish Sea and Aintree’s seven racer between 17:15 and 20:45. This time Betfred are providing their ‘Free Bet if 2nd’ promotion on both the 19:00 and 19:35.

In the former, Paddys Motorbike is 4/1 to get the nod here as he goes from 2lb lower than his decent fifth at the Grand National meeting, while soon after, Dan Skelton will be hoping 7/2 Sail Away can do just that in a decent Handicap Chase.

Finally for Friday, Hamilton hosts seven contests from 17:40 to 20:55 and the Extra Place Race returns on the 18:45 and 19:55.

Ruth Carr’s Hostelry (5/1) is an interesting proposition in the former after an encouraging recent outing at Wetherby.

Later on, 9/2 Hyperfocus looks to be off a very appealing mark for Tim Easterby in the latter of those two races.
