Jesse Marsch admits he’s used to competing for titles but is ready to deploy his Leeds United side as underdogs targeting an upset when they host Manchester City on Saturday (Leeds 8/1, Draw 9/2, Manchester City 3/10 – Match Betting).
Leeds welcome City to Elland Road in Saturday’s 17:30, wrapping up a busy day of action, which boasts six games, in the Premier League.
City head to West Yorkshire knowing only a win will do as they look to maintain their spot at the top of the standings.
At the time of writing, they are one point clear of second-placed Liverpool but they could be knocked off top spot ahead of the 17:30 clash if the Reds overcome Newcastle at St James’ Park in the 12:30 KO (Newcastle 7/1, Draw 18/5, Liverpool 2/5 – Match Betting).
Marsch has spent time in charge of New York Red Bulls, Red Bull Salzburg and RB Leipzig and is no stranger to competing for silverware but his primary task at Leeds is trying to avoid relegation.

With that in mind, the American admits Leeds, who sit just five points clear of the relegation zone, will need to be “pragmatic but aggressive” when City come to town.
Marsch said: “I’m used to being on the other end of the spectrum, fighting for titles.
“Playing against relegation foes can be a pesky match. That’s our job, to make the match pesky for Man City.”
The Whites are set to be without striker Patrick Bamford once again, while Adam Forshaw and Tyler Roberts are also unavailable.
City will welcome back Joao Cancelo but defensive pair John Stones and Kyle Walker are sidelined with hamstring and ankle issues respectively.
All eyes will be on the north east at 12:30 when Liverpool travel to an in-form Newcastle and the visitors will again be without Roberto Firmino.
There are four games scheduled for 15:00 and, depending on how results play out, we could see relegation confirmed for Norwich.
The Canaries travel to Aston Villa (Aston Villa 4/11, Draw 19/5, Norwich 8/1 – Match Betting) and will be relegated if they lose and Burnley beat Watford at Vicarage Road (Watford 13/8, Draw 9/4, Burnley 17/10 – Match Betting).
Elsewhere, Southampton welcome Crystal Palace to St Mary’s (Southampton 6/4, Draw 23/10, Crystal Palace 9/5 – Match Betting), while Brighton head north to face Wolves at Molineux (Wolves 17/10, Draw 21/10, Brighton 7/4 – Match Betting).
