Our efforts have been cleared off the line – again!
We’re certainly knocking on the door! Another two-out-of-three effort last week would have come in if Leicester had scored just once in their goalless stalemate with Aston Villa.
You know the drill by now – we dust ourselves down and go again. But we’re getting closer!
Let’s take a look at this Saturday’s picks.

Premier League Betting Odds
Newcastle United vs Liverpool
We start with the early kick-off at St. James’ Park as Newcastle host Liverpool.
There was a point in the season where it looked like Newcastle were going to be dragged into the relegation battle, but credit to Eddie Howe and his staff, they’ve completely transformed the club, it seems.
The Magpies have won their last four, which is the kind of form you need heading into a clash with this quadruple-chasing Liverpool side. Not since before Christmas have the Magpies suffered a top-flight defeat in front of the home crowd but this is an incredible side they’re coming up against.
The Reds made light work of Villarreal in their Champions League semi-final first leg in midweek and enjoyed another derby day win last weekend over Everton. Furthermore, no side has managed to hand the Reds their first away loss of 2022 in any competition yet.
Liverpool players and fans alike will be further boosted by the news of Jurgen Klopp extending his stay on Merseyside until 2026.
Liverpool win here at 2/5.
Southampton vs Crystal Palace
Our second pick comes from St. Mary’s as Southampton face Crystal Palace.
The Saints rescued a 2-2 draw away to Brighton & Hove Albion last time out, while Patrick Vieira’s side played out a goalless stalemate at home to Leeds United.
Just one win from their last eight Premier League games has potentially stifled Southampton’s chances of a top-half finish but they’re coming up against a Palace side that have took just one point from the last nine on offer.
The Eagles have proved themselves to be a force to be reckoned with at Selhurst Park in recent weeks, but Vieira’s side have only won three league games away from home all season.
We’re going for a Saints win here at 11/8.
Wolves vs Brighton & Hove Albion
Our final pick comes from the Molineux as Wolves take on Brighton.
The hosts will be looking to claim back-to-back league victories on home soil for the first time since November, while the visitors will be seeking to secure their third away win in four matches, having already beaten Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur earlier this month.
Three defeats in their last four games doesn’t make for great reading for Wolves, especially since all three defeats have come against teams below them in the table.
Brighton failed to build their recent away success in North London as they let a two goal lead slip against Southampton last weekend.
Graham Potter’s side have now drawn 14 games this term, and have slipped to 11th in the table. The Seagulls won only one of their last 11 league visits to Molineux, a 2-0 victory in April 2017 when both sides were in the Championship.
We’re siding with a Wolves win for this one, at 17/10.
