It’s fair to say City and Liverpool are not just the best two clubs here in England but also in Europe.
Liverpool have overtaken City for the first time this season as favourites at Betfred to win the Champions League, with them having much the easier semi-final tie.
The Reds are now 6/5 to win the Big Ears trophy, with Pep Guardiola’s side backable at 5/4.
Real Madrid are next best at 6/1 – while Villarreal are the rank outsiders at 20/1.
For this afternoon’s FA Cup semi-final clash at Wembley, City are narrow favourites having proved themselves the better team – although that wasn’t reflected in the 2-2 scoreline – in the Premier League classic at the Etihad on Sunday.

I’m thinking the Blues will win narrowly today – and Betfred have gone 9/1 about City winning 1-0 in 90 minutes. If you fancy another 2-2 scoreline on 90 minutes today, that’s available at 10/1.
Guardiola may be forced to rotate his star-studded squad after the predictably ill-tempered two-legged victory over Atletico Madrid in the Champions League, while Jurgen Klopp is in a far happier position having been able to rest a handful of first-choice players to triumph over two legs against Benfica.
Betfred are now 14/1 that Liverpool will win an unprecedented quad this season, which will be a double hammer blow for me as a big United fan… and remember I’ve already paid out to the tune of £750,000 on City, who are 6/1 to win the treble, winning the title!
Still, no one really wants a team to run away with it do they? Not when we’ve got two magnificent, equally-matched teams providing us with a fascinating finale to the season.
Finally fellas, let’s not have any little love-ins on the final whistle today, however much you respect your opponents. We much prefer anger – although certainly not as much as that expressed by those crazy guys at Atletico!
