Etihad set for title showdown

Etihad set for title showdown

There are four Premier League matches taking place on Sunday but the main focus will undoubtedly be on the 16:30 clash between title rivals Manchester City and Liverpool at the Etihad Stadium.

Before that showdown in Manchester, there are three games with a kick-off time of 14:00 including top-four chasing West Ham United’s visit to Brentford, who are not out of the relegation picture just yet.

The Hammers are sixth in the table heading into the contest and a victory, priced at 7/4. would see them leapfrog Arsenal into fifth and close the gap to fourth-place Tottenham Hotspur to just three points.

As for the Bees, they are nine points clear of the drop zone, which still leaves them just in the relegation conversation, but they have won three of their last four league games and are 6/4 to chalk up another three points.

Meanwhile, over at the King Power Stadium, Leicester City, whose main focus is arguably on the Europa Conference League, take on Crystal Palace (Leicester 8/5, Draw 23/10, Palace 17/10 – Match Betting).

Over at Carrow Road, there is a massive relegation battle between rock-bottom Norwich City, who really need a win to keep their slim survival hopes alive, and 18th-place Burnley (Norwich 2/1, Draw 21/10, Burnley 29/20 – Match Betting).

The Canaries are 10 points from safety heading into the contest and know nothing less than three points is required, while the Clarets will be hoping to pick up the win and reduce the gap to 17th-place Everton to just a point.

It’s then time for the big meeting between City and Liverpool at the Etihad Stadium at 16:30, a clash that has been described as a title decider (City 6/5, Draw 13/5, Liverpool 12/5 – Match Betting).

The Citizens have a one-point lead over the Reds heading into the fixture and a victory for either side could be very telling in the race for silverware.

Success for Pep Guardiola’s men would put them one step closer to defending their crown, while a win for Jurgen Klopp’s troops would put the title in their hands.
